Status: offline 		Steve get a Williams Brothers kit. It will much more likely serve your needs. Also there is a Windsock mini file for Vickers guns that gives some drawings and views.

There are also detailed technical drawings of the Vickers (with dimensions) by Bill Wylam in the MAN Scale Aircraft Drawings book (Vol. I). Note their has been some debate about the number and shape of the louvers on the water jacket.

Status: offline 		I have a little more done. I made the rudder by laminating 1/8x3/16" bass wood and spruce, alternating bass wood, spruce. There are three bass and two spruce. Everything else is carbon arrow shaft. I had to grind out the Mick Reeves hinges to insert 11/32 brass tube for bushings. Making the rudder this way is a little tricky because it is not put together laying on the flat table. It is strong, straight and light.

Status: offline 		Finished up the rudder. I am using Mick Reeves stainless horns. I bent them into an L and silver soldered them together. Made a slot in the bottom of the carbon tube and J B Welded it all together. Cotton is stuck into the ends of the tubes to keep the J B Weld from running and so that it forms a plug. I am almost done with the tiller's also. I made horn's from 1/8" composite sheet which is fiberglass laminated with carbon fiber. The servo in the photo will be turned upside down.

Status: offline 		Not going to get much building done over the next couple of days. Thought I would introduce my pilot form across the pond. This is David and he is out of the Mick Reeves Aerodrome. Well worth the pounds to bring him in for my Vickers assignment. As you can see he is equipped with his flight plan too.

Status: offline 		Just a couple of photo's and I have started work on the cowl. The photo's of the full scale show the details that will need to be done. I will be bending in the edge of the cowl opening using "running" pliers. This tool is used for breaking stained glass but I learned to use them on sheet metal. I'll show how that works later. Status: offline 		Just a quick update. I'll be ready to get fabric on pretty soon then I'll return to finishing the cowl. L/G is now done and ready to be wrapped with fabric. Working on the stab. mounts and the stab. The tail fin and rudder are ready for fabric and I have finished mounting the tail skid. Some other little things done also.

Status: offline 		Well, with the summer project out of the way I am starting this back up. Here's where I am with the cowl and dummy Clerget which is the Mick Reeves kit. I will finish the cowl with another coat of Bondo and I am adding the push rods to the Clerget. Stay tuned.

Status: offline 		Decided to get the landing gear done so here it is wrapped and coated with Poly C. I sprayed some primer on just to see how it will look. Did some more detail on the dummy Clerget also.

Status: offline 		Sorry for the duplicate post, don't know how to delete it. Anyway, I have installed the tiller tree and the servo's which are HItec HS-645MG. I made the tree removable just in case. Have to make up the linkage yet. I started working on the cowl cheeks. Once I have both on the model I'll flip it over and finish the shape of the opening.
