Yep you can buy them as a hop up.

I dont think that threaded are all that much better. In some ways its easyer to use spacers as you allways get them exactly the same each side (although they can come off in a crash, but you shouldnt crash anyway :P )
On a touring car threaded are soooo handy though as you can make much smaller changes.

The only part ive seen break on a B4 is the front bulkhead, trinity make an aluminium one.

B4 is a superb car you should be very happy with it

Might also want to get titanium turnbuckles as the stock associated black steel ones tend to bend or break pretty easily.

Aluminum hinge pin brace - solves the bulkhead issue. Trinity and AE make one. The Al bulkhead is nice but not necessary w/ this brace. Check with Associated they may be including them in the kits now.
Titanium Turnbuckles - The steel ones do bend in hard crashes. Lunsford and AE make some. Also get some RPM ballcups to complete the upgrade.
RPM Gear Cover - replaces the bad plastic one.

These are the only ones I would say are neccesary. If you plan on racing I would recommend getting the front and back shock spring kits along with the new brown and grey springs sold seperate for added tuning. And 25,30,35 weight oils to start. The only other thing I've seen a slight need for is Titanium Ball studs on the rear chassis brace. I sheared a steal one as did a buddy of mine. Its a pain to get to and replace so the added protection is worth it. This car is extremely durable even without these upgrades.

As for building tips. The instructions are very simple. Finish one bag of parts before you open the next. You'll need Thread lock, CA glue, Xacto knife. Its also easier with allen drivers instead of wrenches. hope this helps
