Status: offline 		Aileron is built up with bottom skin and ribs laser cut.
After all the ribs are lined up with brass tube and piano wire going through I CA ribs to bottom skin, sand even with long T and glue top and leading edge strips to complete the sequence.

Status: offline 		Just wondering, will you be doing the wing washout like the full size? Washed out 3 deg at the aileron inner rib, then maintaining this to the tip? It would give the characteristic 'kinked' trailing edge and make a pretty safe airplane at low speeds/ high AOA's. Just a thought...

Yes the wing has 3 degree constant washout root to tip. The pics of the full size that Ive seen show straight trailing edge so I made it constant

Status: offline 		Ahh, OK. All my photos of the full size that show the wing T/E ALL show the 'karakteristik kink'. It is just so easily seen, once seen on one and is a part of the whole, like the U/C angle and length etc. I know most the 3 view drawings don't show it, but again, when compared to the photos...

Whatever, you still have a magnificent machine.

I never noticed this "kink" but after doing some research, it seems that there in-deed is a bit of a kink in the wing about 1/2 way out... These are the best photo's I could find of the so called "kink"

I see the little kink in one of the pics indeed. Very good information.
THese parts will be available as soon as I make sure everything builds right, and there are not major faults.

Status: offline 		Some more images, showing that even the Silver Hill 152 has a 'kinky' trailing edge. You can see under the wing of the compass swing airplane, that the 76 colour only covers the front half of the undersurface, and the rear part appears to be natural metal...so many variations...

Status: offline 		I will look, but so far only two, both from the front so you can't see the flap inner construction. I would assume that they would be like the late model 'D' series wooden flaps, there is a report about the 152's wooden flaps being damaged on landing by water thrown up by the tyres. The Smithsonian web site has some photos of the 152 parts they hold, I believe there is a couple of photos of the flaps there. I will keep looking. The half painted wing undersurface does not seem to be uncommon, 152C 'CI+XM' shows the same thing, 152H 'CF+OY' and '150004' all show the same thing. Keep smiling!

Ha, I tried to vote for the 3 piece wing, but poll closed; then I found that I voted way back when and had forgotten. I edited so I didn't look AS dense

I always wanted to build the Andersen TA, but never got around to it. With you, Vic and Jeff Micko making all of these glass fuselages and parts available, it really cuts the build time, and makes it more plausable. I find that pumps the enthusiasm and is great new.

As Vert says, be nice to see one at WOTR.

Now if we could just get a Mossie fuse in 120 inch span

Status: offline 		Ye, work permitting I'll be at WOR, with the project.
Jeff, the 3 piece wing is available. I added an additional lite ply rib to the laser file so you can make the split. An aluminum tube does the rest.
Evan, PIA is OK, makes me work harder. Yes the aileros should be open frame but they would be too fragile, so I use a balsa sheet with ribs on top that is fabric (solartex) covered.
