OK guys the electric bug has hit me. I just bought the GWS A- 10 warthog, and now I kinda want to get a electric heli. The dumb question of the day is : are there any electrics out there with collective pitch on them? Also how about giving me some of the better names of the helis that are a little on the serious side of the hobby.
Thanks

Looks very interesting. Do they make a small version of this brand.

HI Rich,

The smallest is the LOGO 10, which weighs about 2.5 kg and swings 500mm blades. It is a very nice heli and suitable for everyone from beginner to expert. Many Glow fliers have enjoyed this model. For small, some of "the boys" on the LOGOmaniac chat fly the Piccolo Pro with a brushless motor and nickname it the "LOGO 5"

Astronut,
Is the lite machines heli a fixed pitch or a collective set up? I have the very first lite machines heli to come out of the factory....the LMH 100 that is. What I am trying to say is that I have the original very first machine that they ever produced. I have had it for about 10 years. I don't really care for the fixed pitch set up. You have to be way ahead of the curve on a fixed pitch machine. That is why I want a collective set up .

Yes it is a fixed pitch, the Corona does fly very well for a fixed pitch but I know what you mean about wanting a cp heli, you'll most likely want one shortly after you learn to hover anyway as I did, i loved the Corona and it was awesome to start with because of the durability but I sold it and got a Voyager E about a month after I got my Corona, I was actually looking for a Logo 10 but ran across a nice deal on a sweet Voyager E so I picked it up, it is a very nice and smooth heli also on a brushless set up. I recently picked up a Logo 10 because I couldn't resist any longer and man it's awesome, it's very responsive and very nice in the wind and from what I seen what one can do as far as 3D, I'll never outgrow it.

If you can spend the $, go ahead and get a Logo 10 from the get go, cp is a little more complicated from the start and is less crash friendly but if you have someone who's experienced that can help you out initially, that would definitely be the way to go because I can honestly say that it's probably only a matter of time that you'll get a Logo 10 anyway, either that or you'll always be wondering how one would be like

I'm really glad I started with the Corona though as I knew nobody at all that knew heli's and none of the hobby shops around here even knows about heli's so starting with the Corona was the way to go and is probably responsible for me sticking to the hobby not to mention the huge help of these forums and ezone. I also was on a budget and starting off with a Logo 10 because I had to get a heli radio etc. would've been way too expensive for me then so it depends on your budget also.

It's possible to start with a cp without local help too but it can get frustrating as there's more things to worry about as far as set up etc. especially with no experience at all with heli's, plus you'll need a heli radio.

You'll be able to get a lot of help here or ezone though which will be invaluable.

Rich, you can go to my website dedicated to LOGO helis mentioned in my earlier post and find some links there. The manufacuturer is Mikado in Germany:

http://www.mikado-heli.de/en/

..... and there's a new North American distributor:

Aero-Model.com
