So you quit school and dont have a job
how old do you think i am? lol
i finished school with good grades, went to college for two years and came out as a electrician, 13 month "holiday" deserved that one lol two years installing alarms before the company closed, more "holiday" storeman for an electrionics company, company went in bad patch, got rid of 1/4 of the workforce, more "holiday" then a trainee garage door installer, got rid of me and gave lame excuses, slow getting things from the van? no improvement in strength after 2 weeks?!, more like no orders during the quiet summer and boss paniced, more "holiday"

Mattt - by 'fully built' I meant sailable boats, not the ready-to-sail boats or ARF's or whatever you call 'em's..... If you started building an EC12 now, even with every bit of material and component on hand, would still be a month's worth of work, in my opinion. OK, OK, they can be done quicker, but a first-time builder is going to be doing a lot of head-scratching to finish one.

Hey everyone, I am interested in buying a sailing boat but am unsure on want to buy as I haven't had anything to do with them. I am after a boat that isn't to dear (as I don't want anything too expensive for my first) but is fast and easy to work on. So I was wondering if anyone could give me a suggestion on a sailing boat. Thanks.

Take a look at some other threads on here and a couple at www.rcsailing.net in the new discussion forum. What is 'too dear' for you? We were having a discussion on sub-$US150 boats and there aren't many...basically none you'd wanna sail if you like R/C.
