Hi Falcon,

I love my Sukhoi. You can check it out on page 16 in the Giant Scale Forum, it is about the 5th one down titled, "H9 Sukhoi BME 105 report with pics." It balances a 1/2" behand the wing tube with no added weight. It does 3D very well, but the only problem it seems to have is that it does rock the wings and harriers. I haven't spent any time trying to solve the problem, McConville gives some possible solutions that I have never yet tried. It is very solid in the IMAC manuvers. I went to my first IMAC contest in Molalla, OR last week and won the Sportsman Class. The DA Engine does have more power, but if I put the DA in my Sukhoi my 24 lb. airplane would be 25-1/2 lbs. and I don't think it would fly as well. The BME gives it unlimited verticle and pulls strong out of a hover. It is a great combination and with the price of the Sukhoi it is a good bargain.

What modifications did you make to achieve that cg without adding weight?

To anyone who has a DA-100 in the Sukhoi how did it balance did you move the rudder servos to the front and use a pull pull setup?

I started out with my rudder servos in the tail, was way to touchy and moved the two servos inline under the canopy hatch.

Was too touchy with the servo's in the tail and a DA100?????????

Did you try some expo or reduce the throws? Should balance perfect with that engine

Hey Bob,
Did you use any of the manuvers that are on the video at the Rogue-Eagles webpage?

Has anyone else used a DA-100 in their Hanger 9 Sukhoi and have an opinion on putting the servos in the tail or to use a pull-pull system.

No more opinions on the balance with a DA 100.

I personally have heard of maybe 2 instances where the DA was used in the Sukhoi. You might try an advanced search here on RCU and connect the 2 up. I doubt many went that route due to the cowl width issue.

I have run into 5 other guys that have put there rudder servos or servo under there canopy that are running the DA 100

Also,, This weekend after my motor has broke in abit more I put my Mezlick 25-12 3blade back on my Suk-31

I am in shock,, my suk flew great before it but I can tell you specially if your into IMAC or that style of flying the Suk with that prop is AWESOME, it does alot of stuf way better then the 2blade by far.
