Status: offline 		I have installed new Hitec 7955 digital servos on my new 3W Bearcat. The flap servos are making noise and cuaing the surface to "jitter" as if it is straining. Now the flap servos does have some weight to it, but there is no real stress on the servos. No binding of any kind, either. Is this normal for these high powered digitals?

Status: offline 		Mark, The use of digital servos does come with a price. The constant jittering around neutral that you are observing means an increase in current consumption. It’s more than what you get with regular analog servos. Make sure your battery pack has enough capacity to account for this. By the way, unless you really need the digital servos, for some reason, you should stick with the regular ones. The average sport flyer can live without them. Dan

Status: offline 		Mark I have TFGS planes and don't have a single digital servo in any of them.Unless your doing 3D with your WRBRDS I don't think you need them. Have fun. Tom

Status: offline 		I hear what you guys are saying on digitals vs. analogs. I have them on a 3W Bearcat which has huge torque specs requirements. Only teh digitals have the torque recommended. I am using twin 4500maH NiMH batteries. I may switch out to Lipos if the NiMH do not last long.

Status: offline 		4500mah and 10 Hitec servos buzz.......takes a few hours before silence. I run last year (developing a new flap system), four 5645 MG for 3 hrs and never quit on me. The batteries were 2800mah NiMH.

The buzzing is normal - nothing to worry about.

The nice thing with digital is, the high resolution - this makes a smoother flight possible. Much more precision, that what you want for the Bearcat...

Status: offline 		The only way your flaps can have no load on flaps is to set them up as seen in the pics below on a T-33 with internal linkage. 180 degree from full up to full down. These 5645s don't buzz at all.
