zagibond -> Servos going nuts with Electron 6 Receiver (7/28/2003 9:30:49 AM)

I use the Neon radio with the Electron 6 receiver and HS81 servos. Less than an hour on the setup and something has gone very wrong.

Sometimes (and now more often than not) the servos just go crazy with the radio on. They act like the radio is off but much worse. The one servo pegged itself so hard that it actually stripped the gears. Even the electric speed control (Zagi 20 amp) gets confused. It runs way to fast for the throttle setting then past half way the motor starts pulsing. Sometimes by completely unplugging the servos and reconnecting them the problem is resolved. If it occurs in the air my plane goes down.

I have checked input voltage from the Electronic Speed Control and it is a steady 5 volts. I have even replaced the ESP because I thought that it might be the problem. Help!!!!!!

It sounds like a bad crystal but it's difficult to say for sure. If you send it in we can take a look at it.

Mike.
