13.5 foot span Vickers Vimy
Scratch built Vickers Vimy. Twin DLE 55 engines new with only 8 flights. Solartex coveing. Approx 52 lbs. Designed to be transported in a Ford Explorer so field assembly takes some time. Assembled fuselage length is 109 inches. Span is 13 ft. 6 in. Servoes are Hitec 645 mgs. Livery is markings of the Vimy G-EAOU that flew the first flight from London to Austrailia in 1919. It is sport scale not exact scale. Used a clark y airfoil so it is a good stable flyer. Local pickup cash only. Call 239 482 1888 for further details

Thanks. Plane has an interesting history. google G-EAOU for more info. The Austrailian pilot wrote a detailed article for National Geographic published in March of 1921. I found a copy on Ebay. Great read. Like going along on the adventure. Not many airports or fuel sources in 1919. So how did they do it?
