2008 Intellitech Microsystems, Inc. VectorP UAV (Low hours / Excellent Condition)
Here's an rare opportunity to purchase a full composite fixed wing UAV that has flown with NASA, NATO and the USAF.
The VectorP UAV is a world class professional composite unmanned aircraft with exceptional payload and endurance capabilities. Designed for easy transport to and from the flight area, the VectorP assembles in approximately 15 minutes using ordinary tools. The durable composite construction is designed for years of handling and flight time. Flight quality is exceptional but does require an experienced UAV/RC pilot for consistent performance.
The VectorP UAV design has been flying since 2003 and remains in service throughout the world today. It has been used for a variety of missions including forest fire monitoring in California with NASA/USFS, the US Air Force and NATO operations, scientific aerodynamic research, multi-spectral imaging for the USDA, and more. It has passed and flown under FAA COAs as well as military range safety reviews. A documented history of the aircraft is available through Maryland Aerospace,Inc. Unlike most inexpensive asian built model airplanes, the VectorP airframe was made in the USA by leading composites builder Jeff Foley (Foley Mfg) of Top Gun fame.
This low flight time (8 hours) example for sale is the last of the line built between 2000-2010 and features several design improvements targeted to boost performance and reliability. Wingspan is 103", total length (fuselage/tail) is 101", current RTF (dry) weight is 45 pounds including 6 lbs. of nose ballast (swappable for payload). Perfect for Part 107 operations. It is equipped for manual line of sight flying (LOS) and DOES NOT have an autopilot. Flight duration is approximately 2 hours as equipped (weather, environment, configuration dependent). Total payload and fuel up to 30 pounds, MTOW 80lbs. It has been demonstrated to fly up to 10,000' MSL and when equipped with Micropilot or Cloud Cap autopilots with standard comm.link, range is 10 miles LOS. As sold, radio equipment features Spektrum DX9 Transmitter with receiver and telemetry module for altitude,airspeed, rpm, and engine temp. Servos are Hitec digitals with twisted teflon wiring harness featuring locking connectors. Engine is a 60cc Twin cylinder gasoline two-stroke.
