RE: deal went south

I'm sorry you are having a problem with another RCU member.

You should file a complaint using the form linked at the bottom of the Ratings & Security page in the marketplace.

You should also consider filing a complaint through your local police department.

RE: deal went south

i did all of them except the complaint through RCU the police said they cant do anything about it because it was in another state and i tried with the other state and they told me they more worse things to worry about then someone getting scammed for a toy my only assumption is i lost the truck and it will never be replaced idont think i will ever sell or trade on RCU anymore im not like these other people that has money just to go out and buy another car to replaced the one he lost well thank you for your input

RE: deal went south

I'm sorry your experience with the police has not been positive.

Deciding to not deal on RCU because of this situation is not the solution to your problem. Deals go sour on every web site with a buy/sell area. The solution is to protect yourself against such situations. Trades are inherently risky because there is no way to protect yourself. If you must trade, do so only in person. If you cannot trade in person, then don't trade unless you are willing to accept the risk that you may lose your item entirely, or even receive an item which was not correctly described by the other party.
