charging/balancing two 2s packs
I plan on getting two maxamps 7.4v 5000HV packs. From my understanding this setup will charge and balance two 2s packs at the same time. I will just need a y-harness.

I also have a Low voltage cut-off question. If I am running these two packs in parallel what should be my low voltage cut-off be set at? My understanding is 3v per cell, so it would have to be set at 12v right?

RE: charging/balancing two 2s packs
if you run to 7.4 volt packs in parallel your still at 7.2 volts but with 10000mAh instead of 5000. You run them in series to get 14.4 volts. And your lvc should then be set at 12.4 to be on the safe side of 12. If you buy this http://www.maxamps.com/Eos6i-AC-DC.htm you can have on unit that you can charge both packs with at the same time as a 4s pack. And the balancer is built into it you can choose to by pass the balancer or not.

RE: charging/balancing two 2s packs
Thank you. Since I posted this thread I learned a lot more and changed my game plan. Just like you linked, I will be using the 0606i ac/dc charger. I will need a y-harness for the deans I will be using and some kind of harness for the balancing tabs. Is it possable for you to make a harness for the balancing tabs? So I can hook up two 2s packs to one balancing port?
But if i only charge them to 14.4volts, and the cut-off is set at 12.4volts, that would not leave me with much run time. Correct?

Run time isn't based off of the voltage it based off of the mAh's. And I'm going to check with the guys in the morning about the y-harness balance adapter.

ORIGINAL: JAM MaxAmps
Try Anderson Power Poles. I think they are rated for a higher amp draw.

RE: charging/balancing two 2s packs
it easy you get a series connector and charge them as a 4 cell 800 mAH pack but you will need to make something like this two balance them at the same time: http://www.nitrokillers.com/showthread.php?t=699.
