what do i do?
ok my truck just broke and my maxamp 6000 has almost a full charge.i wont be able to use the truck until i get the parts.what do i do with the battery?discharge it?

It it's gonna sit for 3 weeks or more it needs to be put at 50 to 60% of it's rated capacity or 3000 mAh. And then cycle it once every 30 days.

the parts should be here by tues or wed.the battery has almost a full charge now.the truck will be sitting until then.will it be ok until then?if not how do i get it to 50%?by cycle do you mean charge it again?

You be fine for that time period and you discharge the pack with the charger if your's has a discharge setting. And a cycle is charged until full then discharge to LVC point then charged back to half.

Jason,one more question.when the battery was done charging the mah screen only read 2800 or so.should it be reading the full 6000 mah?

it was actually the third time i charged it.the second time i charged i thought it was done charging but it was not.i took the truck out and it lasted about ten mins.i charged it again which took almost an hour.after a few mins of running the truck broke.

Jason,thanks you guys were very helpful.after emailing Alex he advised me to send the battery in so it could be checked.after just 2 days i was called and told the battery itself was fine.they said mostlikely the problem was the fake deans connectors that i had.they were causing a resistance problem.anyway i ordered real deans connectors to solve the problem.thanks again.by the way the battery is awesome!
