Looking to buy Lipo(s) and charger: Questions
Alright so i just picked up a TC4 & Mamba Max 5700 setup.
I'm in the market for some Lipo's and a charger.
I'm looking for a 3s lipo, probably a 5000ish mah, and average C rating.
I plan to just use the car for street/parking lot passes, no type of racing yet.
1. What different type of chargers are there?
2. Should i use a balance charger?
3. What is the benefits of a balance charger?
4. What battery do you recommend?
5. I understand the hard cases are for racing, but whats the benefit of the hard case?
6. All 3c are 11.1v right?
7. Should i charge the batteries in something sort of fireproof protection (i keep reading about this...)
Price range: Average. (best bang for the buck i guess)
Thanks!
I look forward to doing business with you again.

6. All 3s are 11.1v right? yes.
7. Should i charge the batteries in something sort of fireproof protection (i keep reading about this...) Yes use one of these: http://www.maxamps.com/proddetail.ph...po-Sack&cat=33

Oh i see. I didnt know the size could vary with MAH.
Is there a such thing as a charger that's not a balancer.

check out the zippy lipo packs that are at hobbycity.com, they are much cheaper and perform just as well. not sure if you can get a higher mah from a different manufacturer, but its worth a look around for one.
