Dear Tim at MRC I am throughly disalousioned with this charger as I can have no way to tell what the status is of any battrey I charge or cycle with it. If I top off a battery expecting it it to terminate when it senses the peak I find that the battery is only partialy charged and can not determine at what level it might be. I put a freshly topped off glow battery on a glow plug and in a few seconds it went dead. So much for the topoff. When I set it up for a discharge at 3 amps it only shows 1.5 amps discharge rate on the screen. There is no reyme nor reason to what it does. There is simply no way I can trust this charger to give me reliable service to the various batterys I use in my planes.

Unfortunately, for a single cell battery, there are limits on the charge and discharge rates. I think 1.5 amps is the most you'll be able to get for a single cell. What's the voltage in the battery when the charge terminates, is the cell warm?
