Default Turnigy Talon V2

Talon V2 Setup Advice.

Hello,

I am interested in the Turnigy Talon V2 as my first QCopter. I am NOT looking to
do insane acrobatic flight but smooth controlled flight and most importantly I
want to mount a GoPro to it after I become proficient at flying it.

What setup (motor/esc/battery/props) would you suggest for this purpose on the
Talon V2? Can anyone share their experience with the Talon V2 and their setup?

Doing my own research on then web, this is what I came up with for a
setup. So tell me how far did I miss the mark? Would this be a suitable setup
for a first Qcopter and would it support a mounted GoPro?

Frame - Talon V2
Motor - Turnigy 3530 14 1100kv
ESC - Hobbyking SS Series 25-30A ESC (Programmable)
Battery - 3S 11.1v
Prop - I have no idea. Help.
FC - Still researching.

1. Is that motor too much, not enough, etc...
2. Right ESC?
3. Battery OK?

Thanks very much.

The 3530-14 1100KV motors call for 10X4.7 props. That setup should be really powerfull with that frame. Have you purchased anything yet? I see that HK is coming out with a KK board that has accelerometers. Self leveling.

Nah...still educating myself before I pull the trigger. I'm zeroing in on picking a 28 size motor. It MUST carry a Go Pro though.
I saw the HK KK2 that day it came out. Sold out that day. Bummer. Think Iam going to go with a Rabbit anyway.
The new baro is getting good reviews.

I've had 28 series motors and now I have 3530-14 1100kv Hawkings motors. I definately prefer the larger motors, especially for carrying loads. Much smoother and lots quieter. Bigger bearings means longer bearing life.

Thanks Randall,

I just pulled the trigger and placed my first purchase for a QC setup. I didn't go with the 35 but the 28's. I might go with
with the 35's in the future once Iget some experience under my belt. I figure I'll learn on this before I move onto larger
bigger motors and a rabbit.

Here's the setup I'm going with.

Talon V2 Frame
2826 1200 NTM Prop Drive
25A Turnigy Plush Esc
KK2 - Board (When it arrives. Back ordered of course)
Props - 8045
HK Powerboard

This was inspired by DHDSRACER at Youtube.

I still plan to get a Rabbit eventually.

That should be a very capable setup. I have a KK Ver5.5 and love it for sport flying and I too, have a KK2 coming The KK is very hard to beat, especially for a first FCB.
