witespy multiwii pro 2.0 question
I have the witespy multiwiii pro 2.0 board coming in for my build and im just in the fog with the wiring of it to go from the board to the rx. Ive seen pictures of them wired with the throttle with all three wires in and the rest just with one going across the grounds. I've also seen them with all three wires in all of them all the way down. Now what way is right and what way is wrong ( if any) If theres no wrong is there anything i would have to do.

It's simpler to use a 3 wire connection to one channel and to the rest just on the signal wires. This powers the receiver and lessens the wiring mess. You can use 3 wire servo leads on all channels but it's not necessary. You don't have to have a 3 wire connector on any particular channel. Any one of them will do. Most people just use a 3 wire connector on the first channel. On Spektrum that would be throttle but others it would be aileron. Doesn't make any difference,

I have also ordered the witespy 2.0 boards. I got 2 with the gps module. One is Quad P and the other is Quad X. I have pretty good working knowledge of setting up Rabbits but I have not tried this one yet. The witespy setups are probably the best bang for the buck out there. I also have a Walkera QR X350 and Blade 350 QX.

If you got the basic witespy multiwii that's configured for your quadcopter by witespy, you should be able to simply hook it up and fly it. As for myself, I will probably have to hook mine up to the GUI to see which switch activates the RTH, GPS lock and other functions as I have the version with GPS. Besides, it's always nice to know exactly what you have in terms of functions. The GUI will give you a general idea of how well your accelerometers are working as well as your compass and all that. I'm learning this one right along with you Mine hasn't arrived yet.

RTH is "return to home" you'll need gps for that. What you'll need to do in order for the GUI to see it is go into your ports. Right click on "my computer" and then click "device manager" Under that will be a section called "com ports" plug in your flight controller and a port should show itself.

well it went good. I solidered the pins in on friday night and made my smaller cables to go from the fc to the rx saturday. wireded it all up and found that i didnt put any solider on one of the pins that i needed. So i had to take it all apart and fix that. Fixed that all and i spooled it up in the basement got it about 6 inches and figured i should do this outside before i take out the tv and be in more trouble with the wife. so i havent had a nice day a all week its rained or its been mad windy. Plus i think i still have to cal the gyros.
Randall1959 it seems like you know what your doing with these. Do i have to have gps to use the autolevel??? also what remote are you using??

What you went through with the pins is why I have them installed by witespy. It's only like another 5 dollars and it sure beats my shaky hands doing it. My true expertise is a flight controller called the "rabbit" but the mulitwii is very close. You don't need gps for it to auto level. All you would need gps for is if you want position hold or return to home. I'm going to use a Spektrum DX8.

See those little white "buttons" across the top of that graph? Click on "gui settings" and you should see how your board is set up and you can change it from there I think.
Here is a video tutorial.

The video was just to give you an idea of how the GUI works. I'd stick with the 2.2 version since it's the newest. Here are some videos from the witespy site. They should give you plenty of information,.

I see what you mean. I had an older MWii so I downloaded the gui and hooked it up and I'm at a loss too. I'm thinking it's either "angle" or it just had auto level no matter what. I'll have to google it or look through some youtube tutorial videos to figure that one out.
You might go to this website and get a profile and then go to the Mutliwii section. Lots of helpful people there.

Here is the multiwii 1.9 gui.
http://code.google.com/p/multiwii/do..._9.zip&can=2&q=
It is the same one as this video which actually explains auto leveling and how to set it up.

I think this is the one I will use as well.
