Default NAZA M V2 / Cheapo ESC compatabiliy questio

Built a 680 carbo fiber hexacopter w the NAZA M V2 controller. Used Turnigy Multistar 880kv motors but put some cheapo Mystery (yellow shrink wrap) ESC's. I have everything calibrated and hooked up right but no motor action. When I do the motor test in the NAZA software they kinda just stutter and barely turn over. Anyone know of issues between the FC and the ESC's? I was wondering about the signal frequency. Any thoughts?
P.S. I have already ordered 6 new 40 A SIMON K ESC's to put on there.
