Default looking for a better quad.

right now I have the dromida ominus and it's great but I want something maybe a bit bigger with a camera and maybe fpv.
what's out there that's durable, easy to fly with long flight times.

The Blade 200QX is a good step up that will handle a light fpv setup. You can buy a good F450 RTF that will be a step above that and has more options as far as equipment placement and payload.

I personally prefer an open frame over something with a shell.

randall1959 thanks. the dji one is just about what i'm looking for.
I have an emerson action cam (similar to a gopro) i'd like to use so i'll have to see what I need to mount and use that or even if I can.
i'll have to do some research on it.

I use the cheap GLB camera gimbals and they work very well for the price. I use an Astak CM7500 which is a GoPro clone.

Here's a video I did with my F450 and cheap ebay gimbal.

I've got about the same amount of money in mine as that RTF setup I linked you to. That emerson action cam should work pretty well although I haven't used one. Most of the inexpensive sport cams work about the same.

When I got into rc over 20 years ago, the friend that introduced me to it asked me a simple question "Are you afraid to spend money?" After 20 years in the hobby I'm obviously either very brave or very dumb....................

lol that's funny. I tell people looking to get into rc that it's like crack....very addicting and will take all your money haha.
but it's still the most legal fun you can have with your clothes on lol.

If you are a beginner, i would recommend to start with Syma X5c and syma x11c which are more stable and easy to control

In the first post he says he's already got experience. He's ready to move up to something besides a beginner quad.

randall1959 thanks for the link.
gearbester I don't have a lot of experience but I have the basics down.
it looks like it may be awhile before I get anything. my revo's just aren't selling as fast as I thought they would.
