Hi All I recently got a nice new Syma X8C quad, my first one and first time flying one! Two times out to the soccer field I think I did ok! I hovered about 5 ft up, did a little left and right stuff then the wind picked up so I took the safe road.....put it in the car and went home. A success! I made some wide outriggers with pieces of foam on the ends of lengths of 1/4" dowels. The instructions are absolutely horrible so I relied on Youtubes and posts on forums for info. I'll probably train using the headless mode. Any tips will be appreciated. BTW I've been flying r/c airplanes for 25 years and am an AMA Club Instructor but quads are altogether new to me! Very different from fixed wing flight.
