Default Ducted Fan Helo

This looks promising but is kind of noisy.

Promising in what way? Anyone with more than a rudimentary knowledge of props will tell you that ducted fans re a horrible idea for a heli... A ducted fan has a lot of pitch speed due to high RPM, but very low thrust.... Great for a jet type plane, very poor for a heli.... The power requirements for something like this would be WAY higher than what would be needed for something with even normal 8 inch or so airplane props.... Wouldn't even be worth it for anything more than maybe a science project....

Promising in what way? . . .
I like any new design but I'm not an engineer and don't know all the specifics about aeronautics. I just assumed it would be an improvement.
