Default MVVS 77 6mm shaft, available props?

I wonder how to handle the two issues raised by the 6mm prop shaft diameter on my (apparently ancient) mvvs 77.

First: 6mm is .236 inches, that is, less than 1/4 inch; All the props I know of (or that I have) come drilled out to 1/4 inch. How have you handled that?

Second: There is a shoulder on the shaft, beginning at the face of the thrust washer, and extending out about 1/10 of an inch. This shoulder is apparently 9mm diameter. None of the adapters I have for spinner backplates (DuBro, Goldberg, Great Planes) fit that. Suggestions?
