its just that the liner at the top of the port is flush, and at the bottom of the exhaust port there are a few mm`s


But I cant adjust the liner up and down anyway can I ?

This is perfectly OK.

Take a look at your 8.0 cc engines and you will see the top of the sleeve is above (!) the case port and the bottom of the sleeve is above the bottom of the port.

It does not affect the power of the engine, nor is it different from engine to engine.

This is even more common when different size engines share the same crankcase.

As you know, MVVS are among the most powerful engines in their displacement bracket.
