Default WRAM Show

Do you know if NitroPlanes will be at the WRAM Show next month? They are on the vendor list. If they are going to be there will they be bringing models to sell?

Thanks

Last year they had a huge stack of models to sell throughout their booth. They must have had well over 140+ planes.

I arrived on Friday and I was planning on picking up a few planes there from them.

By Saturday afternoon they were down to less than half a dozen planes, and those mostly foamies.

I think they sold more planes than any vendor there, as most people got a chance to see the planes for the first time "in person".

Yes they are going this year, and yes they are selling planes again.

Thanks. I'm thinking about another FMS 1400mm bird, maybe the Corsair and one of my friends is looking for the CMP Cherokee.

Re: CMP

Do you mean this one?

A really nice looking and flying plane.

I hear good things about the 1400mm planes but I don't have one... I tend to favor Balsa as I find it MUCH easier to repair.

I bought the P-47 and Spitfire airframes and put in my own gear (you know I have issue with the stock gear on the NP models although these seem to have decent equipment). I got the Spitfite first and have a lot of flights on it. On one of the first flights I got it too slow into a headwind and it dropped from the sky from about 35-40 feet up and landed right on her nose. Broke the prop and the ailerons and rudder hinges let go. Other than a few small wrinkles in the foam there was no apparent damage. Another time I misjudged her distance from a set of bleachers that were in the middle of the field and smacked right into them on landing. Broken prop and dented foam. A little spackle and paint and good a new. Easy to fly, easy to fix, looks great. I'm thinking a Corsair and I'm done shopping for a while.

I have the 800mm Spitfite airframe and it flies great too.

Mike
