Default super chipmunk 40 cowl

I bought a super chipmunk 40 from nitro models, but I am unable to use the cowl because it won't work according to the instructions if you side mount the engine. I feel that I wasted my money because I'm not able to complete the model. I sure would like some idea on what to do now.

Not to sound flippant, but don't side mount the engine.

Why not mount it inverted? There is no problem with that.

Because the centerline of the engine doesn't change no matter how you mount it.

Right as should be.

What is the problem you are having with an inverted mount?

I think the cowl was just laid up wrong, I've seen other posts saying the same thing. I guess I'll fly it without the cowl, but its just not the same. Maybe a new cowl should be designed.
