Damaged on arrival yhst-17210252890263-178908
The rudder is completely broken off the Vertical Stab, and the right Aileron control horn is broken off.
Otherwise it looks good. There was no packing material to protect the parts. The box was not damaged.

You could head over to the CRM section of RCdiscuss if you want.
Frankly I'd just fix it.
You can use hinge pin joints, or CA ( but only use foam safe CA on one side , epoxy on the other ) inserts with a toothpick for re-inforcement.
Not only would this look as good as new, but it will be far stronger than the original.
Since it only takes a few minutes to do, it's less hassle than even writing up a post @ rcdiscuss.

Frankly I bought a complete ARF. Frankly I expected it to be complete and suitable for its intended purpose ie RC flying. I did not buy one damaged and in need of repair if I had I would expect to pay a lot less for it.. I can and will fix it IF it comes down to that, but I expect better from NitroPlanes. How much damage is aceptable to you?

Is that an attempt to vent?
If so you're in the wrong place.
Given such a trivial repair, I wouldn't think twice about it....

I too would be a little bent at receiving damaged goods. I am not defending Nitro, but they do not make the plane and they are not the ones handling it in route to you. The plane was packaged, shipped to them from China, then they send it out to you. I would think that it was tossed around pretty good before it ever hit American soil.
As said above, post on RCD in the nitro plane support forum. They monitor that one more so then they do this forum.

"How much damage is aceptable to you? " For me, it is not the amount of damage, but how easy the repair is. I have had stuff from Tower, Horizon, and most of the other places I order from show up with damage now and again. If it is "EASY" to fix, I find it less trouble to fix then to send it back and wait for it to show up again. But that is just me.
If you fly the plane a lot, you may end up putting adding hinges to replace the live hinge. I have (2) foam planes I have had to hinge because the live hinge starts to tear.
Buzz.

Hey, OP. I have defended Nitro for a long time. They have some nice planes, no doubt. However, Nitro Planes has the forum ( I thought) to help straighten out a few problems !!!! When John was answering the posts, it seemed like he got quite a few problems solved. I know you're never gonna satisfy everybody, that's impossible. Since john has left all I have seen is, if somebody complains about Nitro, the post seems to "disappear" somehow, or they get a lesson on how to repair it. Don't get me wrong, I have seen you help many, many people here at RCU. BUT, If was to buy a "new" plane & it was delivered damaged, I'll be d#@#@ if I'd repair it !!!!!!! If we buy a "new" plane, then we should get a "new plane"!!! If Nitro can't do that & take care of it's customers, then they need to stop their forum !! It wouldn't suprise me if this post somehow disapears! Now THAT'S venting!!!!!

If it were your plane it would be trivial to me. I am disgusted by your attitude.

And yes if it were my plane, it would already be fixed and "trivial".
All ranting does is get those who are trying to help you, not to.
You've already spent more time typing messages than what it would take to fix the problem.

Minor damage is always a fact of our hobby in some way or shape. There's no point peeing into the wind.

I completely agree with you opjose, this is such a trivial repair, I do not understand where he is trying to get with this. Part of our wonderful hobby is building or, in the OPs case repairing. Deal with it, or you my friend are in the wrong hobby.
