Default how to lube antenna 72 mhz

can I spray silicon on my transmitters antenna 72Mhz ,its very hard to retract

Suzonka since no one seems to zeroing in on your question I will offer some imput. Using any type of oil or silicon sprays on your antenna segments is a bad idea as the various lubes can reduce the conductivity of the segments and a possible reduction in antenna performance.

A Much better idea is you can simply use rubbing alcohol in a CLEAN rag to wipe down each segment carefully. Do this and you will find retracting or extending the segments much easier and its good to do this often.
