Yak 52
Hi,
Just received a Yak 52. Was going over the instructions and I'm a bit
puzzled over something. On P.2 section three they show using epoxy
in two places on the wing. One spot on the rear locator dowel which I
don't have a problem with. But the other location seems to indicate
putting epoxy either on or in the wing tube or just in front of it. Is the intent
here to glue the wing on or is this an error.
Any info appreciated.
Thanks,
Jerry

RE: Yak 52
On the smaller planes, the wings are not meant to be removable.
So ( remember I don't have this particular plane so take this with a bit of caution though I have MANY Nitroplanes aircraft in my stable of planes... ) .... I would say that yes, the idea is to glue the wings in place.
Don't take the epoxy locations literally though. If they tell you to put glue by the dowl then glue the whole thing in.
At worst mix the 30min glue with a bit of alcohol ( or acetone ) to thin it, the apply a coat to both surfaces before shoving everything into place.
