I will try to maiden mine this weekend, if the weather holds up. I'll let you know how it went.

Got the manual, thanks. It's closer but not all-right. Sure there is an updated picture or two. But attaching the horizontal stab to the fuse still shows it sliding in from the rear when it actually pushes through the side. No mention is made of any techniques on exactly how to glue it. Any experienced builder can get this plane in the air, Im sure.

Any luck with the maiden?
I'm working on mating the wings to the fuselaga...nothing lines up, front support of wing doesnt pass through ply wood bulkhead. Fiberglass skin just isn't enough to support the front of the wing! I'll need to add some lumber and build the bulkhead into the fuse opening and provide support. That'll let me re-align the entire wing so I can drill the saddle holes.

Maiden went ok. Flew it three times yesterday had it to nose heavy. Rebalanced it last night and flew it twice today much better. Flies nice just keep the speed up on landing, it will tip stall if you slow it down too much. I'll try to post some pictures when I get a chance,

Thanks,
All mustangs need to keep above the stall speed margin. Dropped wingtip to downward spiral spells common ending for the P-51.
Did you have any trouble centering your wing? I finally realized after 6 hours...my wing halves are not identical!! The left wing is 52 mm from center line to opening for retract while the right wing is 46 mm[:@] Nothing I do will center the dihedral with fuselage and give me equal dimensions to aft tip of fuselage. Its off by 3/4 inch!!

NITROWhat about correcting the manufactured defects in my model with a NEW set of MATCHED WING HALVES. We wont even talk about the 12 hours of assembly I have on these with retracts etc...

NITRO...???

NITRO ???????

what's your order number? I'll issue rma for you and have you return it and exchange another unit for you since there's so much problem.

Haven't heard from NITRO PLANES yet.
I'm not sure how I could ship it back..the wings have been glued togetherwont fit in a box, thats why I offer to drive it to them.
I was able to overcome evey other obstacle this plane presented. The mis-matched wing sets is just too much. It's like I got two mixed up kits-first the elevators are different thickness, then the servo mount plates different sizes and thickness, wing halfs different lengths and uneven. What to do with this junk??
Complete waste of my time and money.

Nitro, so do you want MSgt to chop the thing up so it fits in a box or what? It sounds like I did the right thing by steering away from np.com. Too bad, np could probably make a lot more money in the long run by increasing the quality a few degrees.

UPDATE
NitroPlanes provided a complete refund.
Fortunatly, I live within 100 miles and chose to spend my time/gas and hand delivered it to them.
I showed the employees the issues with the wing and was granted an immediate refund.
Thanks Nitro

Doesn't make up for my time, hours of work, etc...
Does anyone else have the wing issues I had?
I'd order another of these if I knew they're not all 'jacked".

Anyone?

Rob
