Falcon 25 Questions
Hi all
I have a Falcon 25 pusher jet and I am using a magnum GP .25 nitro Engine it seems to be a little under powered does any one have any info on what props to use I have the engine tuned with a 9x6 zinger wood pusher prop is there any better props out there that would be more efficiant.
Even with the RPM,s at 16.500 it still seems to not want to role very easy on ashfault the wheels are ok they role easy and the plane is not heavy !
any info would be a big help
Thanks all
Daniel.

RE: Falcon 25 Questions
It sounds like you are churning a lot of air, with very little thrust.
At the high RPM range you have that engine, it tends to produce little power.
Try trading some of those RPM's for thrust instead.
Try a 10x6 or a 10x7 prop. I'd also try a 9x8 for speed.
Note however with the 9x8 the plane will seem very slow and heavy when it takes off, but if you do a diving pass it will pick up a LOT of speed.

I fly my Falcon 25 with a 600-700 watt electric motor @ 14.8v being pushed right to it's thermal limits.
My little plane is pretty fast this way and seems to have plenty of power.
As it is my small plane is pretty heavy already, so it lands really hot and I must use spoilerons for landings.

RE: Falcon 25 Questions
I have seen a 9x6 and a 10x6 pusher prop at my local hobby shop but have still not been able to find a 9x8 pusher prop I have checked master air screw and APC props and from what i can find no one is making them in that size for nitro engines thanks for the info.
