Helicopter Canopy Defects
Hello,
I recently purchased a few canopies from you all. One for my 450 heli and one for my 500 heli. The 450 canopy has no issues. Very nice molding and the paint job is quite nice. Great canopy for $12. The 500 canopy on the other hand is not as nice. I purchased this one:

I have not drilled out the mounting holes yet but I just slid it over the heli and have been looking at it for a few days and I've noticed that one side of it has a lot of creases and dings. It looks like they happened before the paint was applied as there is no stress signs in the paint.
I realize it's just a $19 canopy but it is a little disappointing to have one whole side of it look pretty bad. I can probably get a picture of it. They are the kind of defects you only see when the light is coming off it the right way. The paint job does do a pretty good job of masking it.

RE: Helicopter Canopy Defects
Here's a picture of it. The other side is completely smooth. This side shown looks like a wobbly mess. For the price I guess little defects like this might be expected but I know that most other places would consider this "b" stock.

RE: Helicopter Canopy Defects
Thanks,
I actually sent an email to them on monday I think and only today got a response. They want me to ship the canopy back to california but they did not say they would cover shipping. I know it costs about $10 for me to ship anything that size to california with minimal tracking so unless they will cover the shipping charges this just isn't worth it to me to send back. I can't take a 50% hit on a piece of fiberglass. I sent an email back asking if they will cover shipping. We'll see.
