Hello, received my sonic 185 today, both wingtips were damaged as well as all the decal sheets were severely creased. Don't really care about the decals but the crumpled wing tips are not acceptable. I'm disappointed I can't put this together and go fly tomorrow! I'm hoping that NitroPlanes can handle this situation promptly.

the wing tube goes on one wing and the other wing it don't ,and the wing drag bottom surfaces are covered backwards when dry fitted they were off with right color matching but fit right when fitted with the color oppesite what they are to suppose to be ,and the cowling color red is brighter red then the fusalage red, and on one wing the servo doubler is off to one side hard to get servo in wing.and the canopy is warped don't fit tight. It looks like a good kit but craftsman ship needs to be better or I got a bad kit I would like a replacement kit or i can send this one back for a refund

In your shoes I'd merely pry up the canopy sides, using a nail file or something very thin to break the glue bond along the sides first...

Glue the seat back in, then reglue the canopy... an easy fix.

Elmer's white glue will work fine for this.

It's much easier and far quicker than trying to get a replacement.

FYI: Nitro's staff does not frequent these forums as often as they used to.

I had same problem they sent out replacement for me and that one didnt fit. I ordered a new one and that one didnt fit and the pilot was loose. I ened up just repairing myself seems to be the best way

I hear ya Topgun. I order this one to replace a canopy that I had to open up to glue the pilot down. Once you open up a canopy it doesn't look that great... at least mine doesn't[] ... That's why I ordered a new one.

Yeah i did the same pulled canopy and it lifted the paint. Its amazing how the little things can drive you nuts.

You have to insert something under the canopy to break the glue seal.

An allen wrench or a pick tool will do the job.

I received my Art Tech F4U Corsair today and the motor mount was severely damaged.

Its me again

We have only received one email stating that would would have to pay for total shipping costs to get the broken plane replaced.

My wife replied stating that she doesn't think its fair that we have to pay for anything.

We have not heard anything back. My wife bought this plane as a Christmas gift but it arrived broken. To repair all we need is another fuselage with the motor mount and servos in place. I can swap everything else out, wings, motor, ESC etc...

Please help us on this request. If we dont get any help on this in the next couple of days we will file a report with BBB and also have our credit card company dispute the charge.

This is a last resort and we hope Nitroplanes can uphold their end of the bargain.

This plane arrived fine. During assembly the right axel stub fell off the landing gear. The only thing holding it together was a heavy coat of black paint. Got an email saying the gear was on backorder with no ETA. Can you get one out of another return?

I ordered a zlin ep order #974984 on 10/23/10 it arrived with a cowl that was way to small for the plane. I was told you would replace it but I have not seen it or heard from you to date [12/20/10]. what is the proposed delivery, and is this a common problem with this plane.

hello i recently purchased my first plane from nitroplanes and have just 1 problem that i could not overcome with my modeling skills. i bought the exceed f-3 tornado sweep wing receiver ready-kit.after assembly of the model i installed my receiver and did a radio check and noticed one of the elevator servos is dead. i opened up the belly of the bird and chased the wires and switched them on the y connector and still the same servo was unresponsive. i dont want to tear this plane apart anymore over this servo that should be working, if there is anything that you guys can do in a timely manner would be awesome i was really looking forewarde to flying before i have to go back to work but that is unlikley now.

p.s i usually have a spare servo lying around and could make due but my luck just keeps running out lol

Ordered my Katana 50cc back on 11-29-10. Received Saturday 1 week later. The canopy is damaged beyond repair. I called Nitroplanes the following Monday. Guy said to email pics and they would send me a new one. Since then I've made several attempts to contact them to no avail. Can you please help me. My order number is 1027337. My god, I can't believe NitroPlanes is in business. Their support sucks. Thankfully I hung up after 45 minutes on hold waiting for a few questions on two planes we wanted for Christmas -F3 Tornado EDF for myself and the RC 55 Sky trainer for my oldest. Ended up only getting the two cheap backyard electric X fighter for myyoungestkids and what a disappointment.

Opening them up on Christmas day, one of my kids didn't get the fricken antennafor the transmitterand no spare parts. I've called NP 3 time and sent two email. No responses and no RMA;

Not only on the planes junk, they are unflyable. Tail heavy all the way, add counter weight for a slightly forward CG and the plane just sinks. Experience -I've built dozens, am a A&P and PP.
Thankfully my lesson was only $67 and not a $500.
No one at NP cares so off to the BBB.
If you got money to throw away go to the casino, at least you might get something inreturn instead of throwing it away on the cheapest Asian crap they can import.

yeah im tripping out on how they refer you from there site to this forum for support but they never check it. i have had my plane for a month now almost and they still haven't responded. i must be trippin out because i cant believe this. i would expect this from stuff bought and shipped from china but there an hour away from me in california. i honestly don't care enough to call the 3B and i already fixed the aircraft on my dime and have flights on it, but i'm just gonna vent on here because i am appalled at all these folks on here getting garbage shipped to them and than nitroplanes acting like a bounch of ghosts. 

P.S BURKMAN your luckey you even got through with there number, when i called i got voice mail 10x-15x douring there buisness hours and finally just gave up trying to call.  

nitroplanes.com representative if you read this please give us a valid reason for your lack of costumer support?

I just returned a Projet F4E due to the Fuselage being cracked before I unboxed it. after going round and round with the NitroPlanes Staff and Manager It ended up that even though I was sent a Broken Plane I still had to Pay $50 to ship it back.

After the emails stating that I had to pay, I couldn't get anymore responses from the Nitroplanes staff, and they haven't returned the last few emails I have sent.

I then posted on the Facebook Forums saying I was unhappy about the Practice of Sending out a damaged aircraft and making the customer pay to ship it back.

It's obvious they are in it for a quick buck. So what can we do???

All who read this and have the same experience with Nitroplane.com, spread the word personally and on forums that buyer beware and Nitro Planes are a bunch of scam artist. Don't be fooled by the nice demo videos and fancy website. They are the cheapest for a reason.

I have called and emailed dozens of times with no response and chatted which is a joke, I purchased this jet on 1/8/11 got it in opened the box and found the blades busted from the motor, then after building it I found that the tail rudder is warped, yesterday i decided to turn it on in my home to check out the servoes and gave it a 1/4 power and the motor made a nose but did not turn, I did smell a burning from the motor and esc, I have had all I can take from NP and if they don't make this right by 1/26/11 I will be filing a dispute with my credit card company, I may have gotten a lemon but bottom line is I paid a large sum of money for junk, they could at least replace it if not refund me.
