MISSING PARTS ON NEW AIRPLANE
Hi John,
Have you been able to research whether my F-15 is some special edition? I have tried everything to attach the servo arms sent, but with less than positive results.....they just will not fit. The shaft on the servo is 5mm in diameter, but the hole on the servo arms sent are 3mm in diameter. Somehow the servos on airplane are bigger at 5mm. Do you think larger than normal servos were installed on my airplane? If so, how can I tell which ones they are, or where any identifying marks are so that we can resolve this. The servo has a white nylon actuator shaft that is 5mm in diameter and uses a chrome screw instead of the tiny black ones that you sent with these servo arms.
Please help, I know I'm not crazy......what can I do to make this work?
Thanks,
Still grounded in La.

I don't quite understand...
The servo you show in the picture already has an arm installed. Why can't you use that?
You also show the "correct" servo arm at the bottom. Did that come with the server? If so what is the problem?

RE: MISSING PARTS ON NEW AIRPLANE
Thanks for responding to my questions.....The servo that was sent has a different throw than the on that is on the model...it's for the nose wheel. The arm that I need and showed was removed from the other elevator servo so that I could illustrate which one I need. If I use a different servo and arm that would give different movements of the two control surfaces resulting in the crash of my airplane....that would solve the problem. but I would like to enjoy my airplane for more than one flight. Are you using only one style servo and arm now? If not, does the servos have any kind of number or identifying marks the would tell me which series it is?
Thanks for getting back to me

This is a picture of the bottom of the model showing the two servos and the one arm that came with the airplane. I hope that this will help in identifying the arm that I need.
Thanks again

Got it!
Please PM John here ( Nitrostaff1 ).
If you are unfamiliar with this process here is what you do...
Find any Nitrostaff1 post.
On the left hand side click on Nitrostaff1.
This gets you to his "profile" page.
In the middle of the screen you will see tiny balloon type icons, one says "PM".
Click that and refer to this thread.
Give him your order number ( it starts with YSTxxxx-).
He checks in every few days, so a response may not be immediate.

Alright thanks for the information and I'll get you a servo arm that described as above and get you one with 5mm diameter.
