Default Zlin EP data?

I really like the way the Zlin EP looks, but the data seems to be all over the place:

Wing Span : 40 in / 1016 mm
Wing Area : 430 sq in / 28 sq.dm
Flying Weight : 45oz / 1300g
Fuselage Length : 31 in / 800 mm

Are these numbers really correct? [sm=confused.gif]

A 40" plane with 430 sq in area, how is that possible? Correct me if I'm wrong but that would require a cord of about 11" (?). Sounds like a funfly/3d machine...?
(A more reasonable/common cord would be around 8" and give a wing area of 320 sq in)

Second odd thing is the weight, 45 oz on a 40" wingspan, sounds like a brick to me?

Default RE: Zlin EP data?

Assume that the actual wing area is about 280-300 sq in, and a flying weight of 48 ounces ( to be pessimistic )...

That only gives you about 24oz/sq ft loading which is no where near a "brick".

My 50cc Edge 540T comes in at a 34oz/sq ft loading, and the thing just floats on, and on.

Well the wingloading in terms of oz/wing area is not a good measure if/when one compares planes of different sizes. Then one should instead look at the cubic wingloading which, for 300 sq in and 45oz, becomes about 15 and that is at least warbird territory...

For 300 sq in, I would like to see a weight of somewhere around 25 oz.
