Default Airfield Sky Trainer 182 Nose Gear

I feel as though the Airfield Sky Trainers front nose gear is beefed up a little. Although, I suggest if you do get this model, get some J B Weld and super glue the front nose gear into the metal on metal contact and also use the supplied allen nut!

I was flying around, and when I landed, the front nose gear popped out, it didnt break, it just popped out because the little hex nut cannot withstand the vibration and vibrated loose.

So use some J B Weld and you should be back in business.

On a side note, when it popped out, the metal sleeve that holds the nose gear skid on the asphalt and held up remarkebly well and did not break!!!

Default RE: Airfield Sky Trainer 182 Nose Gear

You could use a dremel tool and grind a flat spot on the gear wire and lock tite it.
