2.4Ghz F/A-18C Blue Angel EDF Servo problems
 

I recently purchased the model. I have glued all of the wings and binded transmitter and receiver. The throttle, elevators and rudder work fine, but the aileron servos wont respond to my transmitter. They start to fritz out and myleft wing servo is stuck in one position while the other one will fritz out. I am unsure of whether it is a wire that isnt connected well or if the servos are messed up. Also wondering if it might be the receiver that is the problem.

Switch your wires around, so that the ailerons are on the elevator and try again.

This will help you determine if the problem lies with the receiver or servos.

Sure it did... But what happened?

Did the ailerons move CORRECTLY when they were plugged into the elevator channel ( indicates a bad receiver or transmitter ).

Did the ailerons behave exactly as before? Indicating a bad servo.

Are you SURE that there is enough power being supplied to the plane? Too little will also result in what you are seeing.

yeah they do the same thing as before. and the battery was charged for an hour , same thing happened.

So it is likely that the servos are to blame.

Since both are reacting strangely, it could well be that the signal wire is being grounded, either internally on one, or via the "Y" cable.

Next try disconnecting one servo at a time, then start the plane, see if only one servo seems to work correctly.

If possible bypass the installed connector too. There is always the chance that a bad Y cable is all that stands between you and flight time.
