    O.S. 1984 FS-120 Before Surpass ( Looks like a Saito)

I had to replace the tappet screw because it was worn and I couldn't get the allen to bite and when I tried to adjust the valves, the rocker arms has a teflon washer or very thin nylon washer between the rocker arm and casing that the rocker what went through. I ripped the washer no matter how careful I was because it was very old and thin. I looked everywhere on-line for the paper thin teflon washers and couldn't find one anywhere. Is that really needed? And if so, where can I find the set if it is needed?

the teflon washers are not avalable. i made mine from brass shim stock from the auto parts store. have them installed on the high side of the rocker arm to keep the rocker arm centered over the valve stem. i am running two of these eng's. am very happy with them. several of the internal parts are still being used in the newer eng's.

"Phoenix" phone no. 800-8452813. They can do teflon and about a dozen other materials and don't charge for tooling (set up either) for round washers. I think the stock thickness starts about .005 in. on most avail. materials. Only issue is I'm not sure what they have for a min. quantity.
    Hope this helps.

Some good ideas. We'd not have the parts, nor a source. They haven't been available for over two decades. Your best bet would be to make some from some thin brass shim stock.
