Default os 300 twin mounting

I have run 300's for several years but
would like to mount this one with the carb on the top instead of the bottom. Has any one had experience or do you know why it can't be done?

Since we've never run the O.S. Max FT-300 Twin, or any of their other multi-cylinder engines inverted, we don't know if it will have an effect or not. It's likely, though, that the camshaft and cam gears will not be adequately-lubricated if you turn the engine over to put the carb on top.

Thank you for the information I sort of felt that way too. The engine is replacing a SAito 300 which I was not happy with. The tank in the Pitts (GP) is alittle high and I think I might have siphon problems. Maybe not.
