Default 55 AX low needle setting

HI,

I have a used 55AX and lost the default setting of the low needle valve.
If I close it, how much do I need to unscrew it basically ?
The manual says 1.5 turns but it's not engouh, tower hobbies says to open full throttle and to get a 3mm gap between the needle and the spray bar.

Thanks,
Roei

Default RE: 55 AX low needle setting

3-4 mm between the needle and the nozzle when the engine is at full throttle is a good place to start. As long as the low-speed needle starts out a a very rich setting, you'll be OK. Once the full-throttle setting is found, you can retard the throttle and set the low-speed mixture.
