Default OS 46 SF

I aquired a OS 46 SF Ringed 2 stroke with a plane and wanted to know if I could still get parts for it and a manual? The engine runs and is in great shape, I was just wondering where I could buy or get parts and information when and if I ever needed it?

Thanks,
Chris

Chris,

Many parts for the O.S. Max .46 SF are still available. If you send us an email to the address below, we can email a copy of the instruction sheets to you.

The O.S. Max .46 SF engine uses a drive washer that's retained by a split collet. It does not use a thrust washer between the drive washer and the front bearing. Unfortunately, the drive washer with collet are no longer available because they have been discontinued for a number of years, and are no longer available from us or from O.S., in Japan. You would have to locate parts through one of the online auction or "swap-shop" sites.

The O.S. part number for the drive washer with collet is 24908009.

Bill, I really appreciate you prompt reply. I have a drive hub from an old OS 50 Max. I put it on the 46 SF and it seems to work fine?
My concern now is this? The shaft on my OS 46 has two flat spots on each side? It appears to be the same as the 46 FX? The part OS 25608009 appears to have the two flat spot for the crank? I am confused? Could this engine maybe have a FX Crankshaft wth the two flat spots for the Drive Hub?

I went by the exploded diagram we have in some old parts books. I don't have an engine here to examine, however, if a part from another engine fits, then by all means use it.
