Default How Low of Idle should a typical 61 FX Engine get?

I know that a 40 size engine typically idles around 2000 something. But 2000 is considered to be extremely slow for that size. I was wondering if the typical Idle speed for a 61 size is any different. Does the typical idle speeds change as the engine gets bigger? How slow of an Idle should the 61 FX reach? I know that propeller sizes and glow plug both makes a difference. I'm just looking for a round number for the average idle. Thanks.

It all depends upon the propeller, and how well the engine's broken-in and tuned. Anything under 3,000 RPM for almost all glow engines would be considered acceptable, but most can get under 2,500 RPM. The lower you can get and still have a good acceleration is good.
