Default Os 15gt

Hi
Can I convert the OS GT15 gas motor to run on the G5 glow plug by changing the head for the GGT15 head, or are there other differences with the motor. Also would an adapter 10 mm to 1/4" work?
Thanks
Geoff

You can change a GT15 to glow plug operation by installing the cylinder head for the GGT15.

We'd not know what adaptor you're asking about.

Perhaps he is asking if by bushing the 10mm plug hole to a 1/4-32 and uses a G5 plug the engine would function on gasoline. This would be as an alternative to purchasing and installing a new cylinder head.

That won't work because the compression ratios are different, which means that the squish is cut into the cylinder heads differently.

I think that is what he needed to know. Interesting to note however that some people have had success by simply screwing a G5 plug into the engine and running gas. These are just regular production glow plug engines.
