hello
i have a question my 91 FX is idling really bad (3100-4500) i am running a perry pump on it and a macs pipe.........here's what happening......when i set the ilde low it will just keep getting lower until the engine quits......is there aanswer to the question has anybody els had this problem?

We're sorry for the few days it's taken us to reply on this one.
If an engine gradually slows down as it idles and then quits, it's too rich. With your setup, it's possible that there's too much pump pressure. You should not be using any kind of pressure to the tank from the pipe. With a pump, you don't use muffler or pipe pressure.
You may also want to check your pipe tuning. It's possible that the pipe's not quite tuned correctlly, so the high-speed needle's not right. That would affect the idle because the high-speed needle is the master control for the carburetor.
