502 Tuned pipe system..

Sorry to pester you again... gone to " Plan B " for the use of this 502 Tuned pipe system i have here..its going on a 1.20FSIII ...but iv'e put the Data sheet that came with the pipe somewhere really safe.!.so.. now i cant find it !...what was the min / max length the exit of the pipe has to be set at, away from the centre of the cyl head....? cheers Bill, Dave.

The O.S. Max four-stroke pipe systems aren't critical as to length. You just bolt them on and go. Their main purpose is to provide better silencing with minimal power loss. You won't get much improvement over a straight header w/o a muffler. If you're looking for noticeable power increase, it won't be there.

Certainly wasnt looking for a power increase here.. but the more i think about it O.S Quoted 'A' figure fore the 1.20 pipe/engine length...the .91 had a max/min length...i was just looking for THE figure fore the 1.20.. bought the pipe becuse of its enhanced quietening properties and it looks a lot sleeker... regards...Dave.
