Default OS 50 SX and Fuel (Oil %)

The manual on this engines states that nothing less than a 18% oil mixture fuel be used in this engine.

While Byron fuel claims that 16% is okay for most applications.

What is the story on oil and ringed engines such as the OS 50 SX. I want to treat this engine right.

Default OS 50 SX and Fuel (Oil %)

Your OS warranty requires 18% oil, as OS stands firm that this is what the engine is tested upon, designed for, and best performs on. If you choose to use a fuel with less oil and later have problems with the engine, unfortunately, your warranty has technically been voided and if the problem can be related to too little oil it will not be warranty serviced.
