Default OS 120 FS with pump

I have a two year old 120 FS III with pump. I have probably 10 OS FS engines and love them as being reliable. However this 120 engine is the oldest and is my least reliable. Don't get me wrong it has not dead stick on me but its funny in two ways. First, adjusting the needle is strange. I would have to adjust it up to one turn back and forth either way before it has the slightest effect. I have to constantly change the needle setting between flights.
Secondly, when I bring the throttle to idle sometimes the engine remains in mid range.
I wonder whether the pump is old and the cause of the problem? Is it worth changing?

Default RE: OS 120 FS with pump

Without seeing the engine, it's hard to tell. One thing to do, though, is check the FAQ on pumped engines on the O.S. Web pages. Pumped engines don't get set the same as non-pumped engines.

Also, the regulator may have dried out. That happens after the engine's not been used for several weeks. It takes 4-5 tanks' worth of fuel to get it working again.
