New OS 50SX missing gasket and leaking
I bought a new 50SX and it is missing one of the three plastic "O" rings on the needle assembly--the one on the plug screw. This is a brand new engine.
I haven't been able to get this engine to run good. There are air bubbles getting to the carb so I took apart the fuel system and after finding no problems there I started to look at the engine.
In addition to the missing white "O" ring, the black "O" ring on the needle seems to fit very loosely. Have there been any recent problems with the black "O" rings. Should I just put Vaseline on the black "O" ring? How do I get the white "O" ring?
Although I have not taken the back plate off, I cannot see a gasket under it. I presume it is there. The engine compression is good.

When you refer to "white o-rings", do you mean the white teflon washers in the assembly?
We've not experienced any particular difficulties with needle assemblies in the .50 SX engines.
You may wish to contact us directly about getting new washers.
Do not use Vaseline around the needle o-ring. Vaseline is a petroleum product, and will cause deterioration of the o-ring. You'll need to use a non-petroleum product.
We hope you find this information helpful. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at this email address. (Please be sure to copy all previous emails into any future questions.)

Yes, I mean the white teflon washers. There were only two on my engine when I bought it. There was no washer on the plug screw.
