0S.46 max in nexstar
i bought a hobbico nexstar a few months ago all was ok until a week ago when the engine would not idle(it would just load up and cut out). i do not know how to adjust engine settings so i continued to fly with it running the way it was evey landing is always dead stick. i got a friend to check it out and try to adjust the low end settings, he tried for about 1 hour with no success. we fited a glow plug with an idle bar but it still cuts out. the low end will not adjust any further and it still loads up. what is wrong with it. the engine has never been crashed. my old instuctor thinks it needs a new carb but im not sure what to do. i dont want to buy a new carb and dont see why i should on an engine that is only 4 months old. please help any suggestions would be welcome. thank paul

Without seeing the engine, it's not possible to determine what might be wrong. The idle mixture may be set too lean, the carb may have some contamination that's affecting fuel flow, tank/fuel system may have a problem, the engine may have had an accidental overheat/lean run that damaged the piston to cylinder fit...and so on.
We'd have to see the engine to give you a definitive answer.
