OS 70 surpass bogging at full throttle.
Hi guys
I have a Os surpass 70 which i had purchased recentlyand got it tuned up aswell now the engine tach at 10500 - 10800, i even tached it at 11k but then kept it a bit on the rich side. The throttle reponse is amazingly quick. 15% nitro 11*8 Master airscrew prop,
In flight info....
Take off......... reduce to half throttle ......... good speed and engine sound.....climb vertical good with half throttle .....stall turn coming down make the plane level apply full speed and you can hear the engine boggin and coughing.......??........reduce the speed the engine is ok...this engine is on the Tai ji 40.
Is this coz i am against the wind...... this used to happen to my OS 46 fx aswell but i didnt notice is that much ...........
what could be the reason??? 4 boggin

I have two OS 70 surpass and run this without problem.
I use 10% nitromethane cool power green fuel and add this full 3oz of Benol Castor oil.
I use 12X8 propeller and my engine run 9800 - 10100.
Check the idle valve and needle valve, rich this valve.
11x8 propeller for this engine is to small.
Vasbot.

IMO.......not enough prop I have two OS 70 surpass's one I use a 12x8 APC the other one I use a 13x6-10 zinger It all depends on the plane. Maybe 11x10 or 11x11 if you need the ground clearence but good luck in slowing the plane down.
