OS 300 Super Gemini Twin Questions...
I have heard lately that a lot of modelers have been using 30% Heli fuel in their four strokes with great results. Do you recommend this fuel for the 300 twin? I have been using 15% Four stroke fuels in my 300 since new and have not had a problem.
Also, both prop nuts have broken on my 300. The prop nut broke while tightening about 8 months ago and the locknut broke while loosening about two months ago. Is this a common problem with the 300, or am I doing something wrong?

RE: OS 300 Super Gemini Twin Questions...
The O.S. twin-cylinder four-stroke engines were originally designed for 10%-15% nitro fuels. We normally run 10% in all of the four-stroke engines, except the FS-120 Surpass SP supercharged, which runs best on 20/20 fuel. It also runs well on Cool Power 30% heli fuel, which has about 23% oil content. For your FT-300, though, we'd stick with 10%-15% nitro.
We'd not know why your engine would be breaking propeller nuts, unless they're being overtightened a lot. We've never seen a broken nut, except for crash damage onto a rock or concrete. We do make sure to use a good adjustable wrench or box wrench when we tighten propeller nuts. If your wrench doesn't fit well, it could be a contributor to nut breakage.
